Thank you to the many ASP members and allies who have shown their support for Jacqueline. Here are just a few highlights.

Juan Munoz
2016 ASP Vice Presidential Nominee

Full Remarks

“My Fellow American Solidarity Party members,
My name is Juan Munoz, and I have been a member of this party since 2015. In 2016 I accepted the role of ASP of Texas State Chair and shortly after that, I accepted the nomination for Vice President that year. I also served a short time on the National Committee in 2018 and have been a prior delegate from Texas to the National Convention in 2019.
I bring this personal history up not to brag, because there are many still in leadership who have served for longer than I. I merely bring it up to underscore the esteem I have for this party and its members as individuals. While we may get behind different candidates in the primary, we are all here because (like our candidates) we have a singular vision that seeks the common good for a nation we all love.
In deciding to endorse a candidate, I had to keep in mind that the job is not really about governance, but communication. Quite frankly, we don’t have billions of dollars behind us. We don’t have millions of keyboard warriors at our beck and call. So, our candidate needs to be able to connect in a personal way with a passion that will draw the eyes and ears of potential voters so they will spend the time to learn more about us. The candidate needs to show they can work with fellow travelers to bring a spotlight on all of our issues, and show how they are related to each other. And it helps if they need to have a proven professional and volunteer record to back up what they are saying. In my opinion, one candidate ticks those boxes better than anyone, and that candidate is Dr. Jacqueline Abernathy for President”

Full Remarks

“Since the Democrats are planning to make abortion the theme of their presidential campaign, I think it is critically important that ASP counters their arguments with a pro-life woman on the ticket. Our credibility in this political climate depends on having a woman talk about women’s issues, especially someone with Dr. Abernathy’s understanding of pregnancy and motherhood.
To grow the party and attract voters, ASP will do best to offer a woman as its presidential candidate because America has long been deficient in female presidential candidates, there is widespread desire to elect a woman, and women voters, who vote in greater numbers than men, will more likely vote for a woman. Having Dr. Abernathy on the ticket will gain ASP a strategic advantage and media attention.”

Executive Director, Euthanasia Prevention Coalition

Full Remarks

“Dr. Jacqueline Abernathy has been a long-time advocate for excellent and ethical end-of-life care and she has vigorously opposed the legalization of assisted suicide.

Dr. Abernathy has studied assisted suicide bills and laws and is a worldwide expert on the fallacies and lies associated with assisted suicide.

Dr. Abernathy was instrumental in writing legislation in Texas to protect people from being intentionally dehydrated to death by the removal of nutrition and hydration.

On June 12, 2015, Texas Governor Greg Abbott overturned 16 years of legal forced dehydration and starvation in Texas by signing House Bill 3074, a bill that was created by Dr Abernathy.

Dr. Abernathy cares about the life of the most vulnerable and she is committed to preventing the expansion of assisted suicide in America.”
Taylor Hyatt
Canadian Disability Rights Advocate

Full Remarks

“My name is Taylor Hyatt and I am a Canadian disability rights advocate. I’ve had the privilege of working with Dr. Abernathy on a variety of human rights projects for a host of non-profit organizations here in Canada. We knew each other from our similar activism and later met in person at a conference. Not long after our collaborations bloomed and we began speaking together at conferences about our research. Dr. Abernathy is steadfast and outspoken in her commitment to defend the worth of every person, leaving no one behind. In particular, when people with disabilities face barriers that seem more numerous and insurmountable than ever, I trust that Dr. Abernathy will do her part to dismantle them. Her devotion to human dignity is for every person, everywhere, not just the United States.”
Lauren Pope
Board Member, Rehumanize International

Full Remarks

“My name is Lauren Pope. I am a board member for Rehumanize International and a long-time CLE advocate. I am supporting Dr. Jacqueline Abernathy’s candidacy for the American Solidarity Party’s presidential nomination. I’m happy to support Jacqueline because I know that she gets things done. When she saw the problems with Texas’ existing advanced directives act, she returned to school to get her Ph.D. in order to have the credentials required to get it fixed. She worked together with many pro-life organizations to craft the best solution to the problem, and they got it passed. Jacqueline is compassionate and knowledgeable across many CLE domains, and I know that she will represent the party well. In a time when the American Solidarity Party’s message and mission is more critical than ever, we need someone with the experience and drive to get things done. That person is Dr. Jacqueline Abernathy.”
Julie Nichols
Former President, Democrats for Life of Texas

Full Remarks

“I can personally confirm the outstanding moral character and service of Dr. Jaqueline Abernathy. She is one of the few who comprehensively understands and actively supports the consistent life ethic which are all lives from conception to natural death.”
Kelsey Hazzard
Founder, Secular Pro-Life

Full Remarks

“Dr. Abernathy is a woman of intellect and integrity. She is able to work cooperatively with people of diverse backgrounds while remaining steadfast in her core values. She is a champion of human dignity at every age, everywhere. The nation would be incredibly lucky to have Dr. Abernathy in the White House.”
