Dr. Jacqueline Harvey Abernathy is a wife, mother, public sector consultant, and former graduate professor from San Antonio, Texas with decades of experience protecting life from womb to tomb. She is seeking the 2024 presidential nomination after representing the party as Texas gubernatorial candidate for 2022, and delegate in 2020-2021. She has a Ph.D. in Public Administration, a Masters of Science in Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work degree that guide her activism. Her research on an array of bioethics policies means she is often called to submit analyses and expert opinions to various state legislatures, courts and even the U.S. Supreme Court, where her analysis was instrumental in upholding Hobby Lobby’s religious freedom to refuse abortifacient drugs despite the Affordable Care Act mandate. She served as state’s expert witness in Texas, Alabama, and Louisiana in defense of laws to protect women and children vulnerable to abortion and has been called on for her expertise by PolitiFact. She works globally against assisted suicide with the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition and represents EPC at the United Nations and testifies worldwide against the spread of legal euthanasia. She is regularly invited to speak at conferences about bioethics issues from conception to natural death and frequently interviewed on podcasts such as Connecting the Dots with Mark Shea.
